Total of 69 per cent of citizens of Thailand plan to travel to European countries for a period from June to September, according to the recent figures provided by the insurance company Europ Assistance (EA).

In this regard, the Head of International Travel at Europ Assistance Group, Julia Ricks, has stressed that this year’s travel intentions show a real excitement for travel, surpassing the pre-pandemic levels.

“Compared to 2021, we observe a significant return to international travel and higher average holiday budgets, supported by a significant decrease in covid-19 related issues that favours aeroplane trips and destinations like cities,” Ricks pointed out in this regard.

In addition, according to her, ongoing inflation has not stopped but contained this travel enthusiasm following the difficulties caused by the restrictions imposed to halt the spread of the virus; however, inflation is the most significant travel concern during this year.
